He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering (Isaiah 53:3).
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death (Philippians 3:10).
Christ offers us comfort because He truly understands suffering. Support may be found from friends, loved ones and others but only Christ can truly comfort us as someone who completely understands all of our suffering. God's word informs us that Jesus came to strengthen and support us in our hour of need. One way to look at this is to realize that Christ, by His suffering on the cross, restored our relationship with our Creator.
All throughout the Bible we read how He understands that we are a people who often feel beaten, bruised, and broken. Jesus alone can bring the healing that we need…because Jesus understands our personal pain. We are completely known! What a Blessing!
Christ realizes that you will suffer—sometimes because we live on a broken planet filled with broken people, sometimes as a result of our own poor choices, and still other times simply because we follow Christ. Amidst all of this we can hold onto some profound promises:

Jesus understands pain.

Jesus will screen what is allowed in life.

Jesus came to bring you freedom through His suffering.
We all can trust in God’s comfort because He sent Jesus on our behalf. Our suffering doesn’t mean the Lord doesn’t Love us. Instead of us trying to avoid suffering, we can look towards Jesus and then realize…He can use the good and the bad in our lives to draw us nearer to Him each and every day. Oh, what love He has for us!

Isaiah 54:17 - No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 - But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.
Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
Isaiah 41:10 - Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Psalm 34:7 - The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
Psalm 32:7 - You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah

About Our Church
Palmdale Lighthouse Assembly of God Church is a local Pentecostal church in Palmdale, CA. Pastor Brent & Eunice have been pastoring at Lighthouse for 28 years. They have a passion for leading, mentoring, and equipping anyone who desires to follow God's purpose in their life. Our church offers a variety of ministries and programs for all ages, including Sunday School, youth group, and Bible studies.
Youth Ministries
Our church is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for Young Adults (ACTIVE) and teenagers (ARISE) to grow in their faith. We offer a variety of programs and events specifically designed for youth, including youth group meetings, retreats, events, and mission trips. Our goal is to help young people develop a strong foundation in their faith and build meaningful relationships with other believers.
Services
We invite you to join us for Sunday Service at 9:30 am each week. Our services include uplifting worship, inspiring and relevant messages, and opportunities to connect with our church family. We also offer a variety of special services throughout the year, including holiday services and community outreach events.
